Ex-rated equipment is used in hazardous areas where flammable gases, vapours or combustible dusts may be present. Its explosion protection features must be carefully preserved during repair. As an Ex repairer, we follow controlled procedures to ensure that equipment is assessed, repaired, tested and documented in accordance with the relevant standards and its original protection concept.
Our accreditation was achieved through the Association of Electrical and Mechanical Trades (AEMT), whose Codes of Practice helped form the basis of the internationally recognised standard for Ex equipment repair, BS EN IEC 60079-19.
