ISO 45001 Certified

The ISO 45001 standard is an effective occupational health and safety management system will help Mechanica to protect and enhance our most important asset, our people, to drive business excellence. ISO 45001 is designed to prevent work-related injury and ill-health and to provide safe and healthy workplaces. As an international standard, ISO 45001 crosses geographic, political, economic, commercial and social boundaries. This sets a single benchmark for the management of occupational health and safety. ISO 45001 allows Mechanica to operate/trade internationally, working to a single standard which can simplify Mechanica’s business. ISO 45001 supersedes the previous ISO 18001 standard. At Mechanica, our chosen certification body is the British Assessment Bureau.

ISO 9001 Certified

The ISO 9000 family of quality management systems (QMS) standards is designed to help organisations ensure that they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders while meeting statutory and regulatory requirements related to a product or service. ISO9000 deals with the fundamentals of quality management systems, including the seven quality management principles upon which the family of standards is based. In particular, ISO 9001 deals with the requirements that organisations wishing to meet the standard must fulfill. Third party certification bodies provide independent confirmation that organisations meet the requirements of ISO 9001. At Mechanica, our chosen certification body is the British Assessment Bureau.

Achilles UVDB Registered

Achilles UVDB is a method by which an organisation, such as Mechanica, can see and be seen by thousands of buyers in the Utilities Sector. It acts as a central repository for tenders and supplier selection for some of the biggest names in the utilities industry. The Verify level allows Mechanica to store demonstrable evidence of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality capabilities and ultimately saves the company time and effort when pre-qualifying for Safety Critical tenders. The benefits of Achilles UVDB Membership are 1.) Directly showcasing our capability profile to 80 sector organisations and over 3000 buyers; 2.) Completing a single online questionnaire to save money and time in repetitive pre-qualification; 3.) Gain new and existing business through a fair, open and transparent selection process; 4.) Generate competitive presence and awareness through a 24/7 online search portal; 5.) Register and update your company information in a secure environment. Achilles enables communities of buyers and suppliers to build better business relationships through a more open, trusting and proactive approach.

ISO 14001 Certified

The ISO 14000 family of standards are related to environmental management that exists to help organisations minimise how their operations (processes, etc.) negatively affect the environment (i.e. cause adverse changes to air, water, or land); comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements; and continually improve in the above. ISO 14000 is similar to ISO 9000 quality management in that both pertain to the process of how a product is produced, rather than to the product itself. As with ISO 9001, certification is performed by third-party organisations rather than being awarded by ISO directly. At Mechanica, our chosen certification body is the British Assessment Bureau.

The Association of Electrical and Mechanical Trades

The AEMT is ‘The Association of Electrical and Mechanical Trades’ which was founded in 1945. It is an International Association representing companies in the electrical and mechanical service and repair industry. Full members, such as Mechanica, are able to offer a wide range of services to a variety of sectors. To become a full member requires a well-equipped mechanical engineering facility to carry out the repair and refurbishment of worn components and metal fabrication. The Association also includes the manufacturers and distributors of rotating electrical equipment, pumps, and the manufacturers and suppliers of the components such as insulation, varnish, wire, seals and bearings. Therefore, companies such as Mechanica, have direct technical support and training capabilities via the AEMT membership.
