Rising Main Replacement

Project Overview

The client contacted Mechanica to tender for the replacement of two rising mains (DN200) within a storm holding tank. The depth of the tank was approximately 12.5 mtrs and the existing pipework and retaining brackets were badly corroded and had various holes/leaks.

Project Workscope & Completion

Offering the best value solution, Mechanica were awarded the project.

Due to the nature of the site location, this entailed a leaflet drop to all houses, detailing the work being undertaken including start/finish times and fencing/security to house the contract lift cranes and all associated equipment and welfare facilities.

Mechanica confined space M&E teams attended site and removed all the existing pipework, brackets, guide rails and pump stools. All new pipework, brackets, guide rails and pump stools were then installed by our confined space M&E teams – all work was undertaken utilising the two contract lift cranes.
