Caustic Dosing Repairs

Project Overview

The client contacted Mechanica to tender for the repair of a caustic dosing kiosk. The dosing kiosk had been leaking and was therefore causing a considerable risk (due to the amount of product leaking when in operation). This also made if difficult to open the kiosk door and adjust the flow rates.

Project Workscope & Completion

Offering the best value solution, Mechanica were awarded the project. The first stage of the project involved procuring numerous PVC pipe work and all associated fixings. The work had to be undertaken over a week and started with a deep clean and the safe disposal of all the chemical waste. Upon completion Mechanica then proceeded to carry out the replacement of all the faulty parts and fittings. Once completed the initial trial run was carried out utilising water, thus enabling a check for leaks prior to returning to service on time and within budget.
